As soon as the Apple has announced the likely launch of much talked and awaited product ‘iPad’, people start comparing the two for one reason or the other. Well different people have different perceptions based on their understanding of the two products. But, when I compare the two I feel that its not that simple as the two surely are different technology marvels, best of features and cutting edge technologies. The two are so much talked about that even before the launch of iPad, the people have even started comparing the sales of the two, seems that two are running a race and argument is who gone win it in the last.

The iPad is not the iPhone

Well as we all understand that Apple will surely add new features in iPad hence it’s a wide spread belief that it will eat away the iphone market because of upgraded features But when we compare the two products, we find that two are all together different products in their own space and hence above perception is just a myth.

The iPhone and iPad are absolutely different from each other as neither the iPad comes with a service agreement of 2 years same as iPhone and nor you have to pay monthly service charges for this product.  Hence this comparison is totally weird. If you compare the iPhone with Nexus or Droid then it make sense but comparing the iPhone with iPad is like you compare the Sony’s Notepad or Laptop with its play station.

Even if for a moment we believe that the products are any how comparable but still we are realize that we are now sitting in 2010 and its not worth comparing it with the product of 2007.  The Technology has evolve to a great extent and people still love iPhone then any other product as Apple till date have sold 42 Million sets of the same which is quite an exemplary display of its success in its own niche. Any new model of iPhone is taken hands on by the users. That is the reason even the third party developers loves to  go to Apple stores, despite the fact how apple treats them at the first place.
