The cell phone carrier turned seller of Vodafone branded cell phones, Vodafone, has recently refreshed its portfolio of cell phones carrying the Vodafone logo, by launching eight stunning devices. The newly launched Vodafone branded phones include the first Android device of the company, christened Vodafone 845. The other seven phones in Vodafone’s kitty are affordable handsets, ideally suited for emerging markets served by Vodafone.

Vodafone 845
Jumping on the Android phone bandwagon, Vodafone has introduced a high-end smartphone powered by the latest Android 2.1 Éclair operating system. The sleek and stylish Vodafone 845 is a treat for the eyes. It flaunts the usual technical specifications of standard Android phones. Vodafone 845 sports a 2.8 inches touchscreen display, a 3 megapixel camera, GPS and Wi-Fi connectivity.

Just like other Android powered smartphones, users of Vodafone 845 could access the online app store of Google, Android Market, and download unlimited apps to their hearts’ content. Vodafone subscribers could avail Vodafone 360 services. Vodafone has attached a reasonable price tag to its first Android phone. The unlocked device would cost around 150 euros. Vodafone will start shipping this Android smartphone in 12 countries served by the carrier from May.

Vodafone 546
Vodafone 546 phone is an entry-level phone, created especially for the emerging markets of the carrier. It carries a decent 2.2 inches landscape display. The QWERTY keyboard has been incorporated in the bar shaped phone to meet the growing demand for physical keyboards for facilitating social network centric messaging task. For web browsing, Vodafone has packed Vodafone 546 with Opera Mini browser. This 2.5G enabled device supports text messaging, instant messaging and emails.

Vodafone 543
Vodafone 543 is another reasonably priced cell phone equipped with 2.4 inches touch screen. Browsing will be supported by Opera Mini. The exchangeable covers designed for Vodafone 543 will help users customize the appearance of the Vodafone 543 handset.

Vodafone 547
Available in black, white and red, Vodafone 547 is an affordable touchscreen phone boasting a 2.8 inches display and Opera Mini browser.

Vodafone 246, 247, 248, 350, 345
These ultra low cost phones from Vodafone are fitted with standard telephony and messaging features. Despite their low cost, Vodafone 350 and 345 boast full QWERTY keyboard. Vodafone 350 even supports email and MMS. Vodafone 247 is an energy efficient cell phone equipped with solar panels.
