T-Mobile Launches HTC HD7

A stunning smartphone running on the latest operating system of Microsoft has arrived in the portfolio of T-Mobile. The smartphone, named HTC HD7, created by the Taiwan based company HTC, will be one of the first smartphones in the American continent to run on the Windows Phone 7 platform.

According to the vice president of T-Mobile, Paul Cole: “With deep integration of entertainment brands, social networking capabilities and rich Microsoft service, the HTC HD7 brings together information and experiences that matter to customers.”

Besides being one of the first Windows Phone 7 based device of T-Mobile, HTC HD7 will also be one of the first smartphones to feature the Family Room application of the carrier. The application, which will be launched by T-Mobile in November, will allow members of a group to share photos, calendar events and notes with each other.

The touchscreen device flaunts a large 4.3 inches capacitive touch sensitive display. The extra large screen of HTC HD7 is ideally suited for watching videos and movies. The Windows Mobile smartphone is preloaded with several popular entertainment apps such as Netflix, T-Mobile TV and Slacker Radio.

T-Mobile subscribers could watch ABC News Now, Azteca America, Fox Sports and PBS Kids and several live and on-demand television programs on the HTC HD7 display. Gaming enthusiasts would love to know that through the Xbox Live app, they could connect to millions of active Xbox Live members.

In addition, HTC HD7 users could download games from the Windows Market Place for mobile. To enhance further the entertainment features of the smartphone, Zune has been added to the T-Mobile device. The ‘Windows Phone Hubs’ feature integrated in the smartphone brings together applications, contents and services in a single window.

High definition videos could be recorded with the 5-megapixel camera of the phone. HTC HD7’s camera is equipped with zoom, dual LED flash and autofocus. The high-end functionalities of the smartphone will be powered by a 1-gigahertz Snapdragon processor. The upcoming smartphone will offer Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G and GPS. HTC HD7 offers decent on board storage space of 16GB.

The smartphone will hit the T-Mobile stores in the holiday season.
