Sony Ericsson Launches Spiro Walkman Phone
After a long time, Sony Ericsson has unveiled a stylish walkman phone flaunting an ergonomic design named Spiro. This long awaited product from the workshop of the Japanese-Swedish joint venture is a delight for music lovers who love to convert their cell phones into a mobile music device on the go.
And when you want to know about the latest happening in the cyber space dominated by social networking enthusiasts, you can instantly access your Facebook and Twitter contacts from the Sony Ericsson Spiro handset.
Sony Ericsson Spiro features
Inspired by the natural curves of the human body, Sony-Ericsson has given a sleek form, measuring 3.6 inches (length) x 1.9 inches (breadth) x 0.7 inches (width), to the Spiro handset. The Sony Ericsson walkman phone features a standard TFT display of 240 x 320 pixel resolution and over 262 thousand colors support. It has a slide out alphanumeric keypad flaunting an ergonomic design that is comfortable for your fingertips engaged in typing.
The 2 megapixel camera of Sony Ericsson Spiro is a disappointment for a company that has produced several high-resolution stunning camera phones. Perhaps to keep down the price of the walkman phone, Sony Ericsson has added this basic camera with standard features including 2x digital zoom and video recording function to the Sony Ericsson Spiro handset.
The main attraction of Sony Ericsson Spiro is undoubtedly its walkman player. Spiro users could create their playlists by grouping audio files. The TrackID feature will help you to locate the name of the artist, album and related information by recording music for a few seconds. You can download music and games from PlayNow. Sony Ericsson has even added a stereo FM radio in the Spiro handset.
Full web browsing will be supported by Obigo Q7 browser loaded in the Sony Ericsson device. Spiro could be used for social networking, instant messaging and exchanging emails. It contains Bluetooth, 3.5mm audio jack and USB 2.0 port. The 5 MB internal storage space might not be sufficient for stashing all your music files. Fortunately, Sony Ericsson Spiro supports memory expansion up to 16 GB. However, you can’t use this GSM phone in Wi-Fi zones. It even lacks GPS antenna.
