Sony Brings PJ Series Camcorders With Projector
Sony has recently launched three PJ series camcorders with integrated video projectors. The camcorder models, HDR -PJ50V, HDR-PJ30V and HDR-PJ10, will hit the shelves this spring.

The new PJ series camcorders from Sony are equipped with HD technology for capturing full high-definition 1920 x 1080-pixel videos. The HD contents could be transferred to full HDTV monitors through the HDMI port of the camcorder. With the 24p recording capability, the HD camcorders could produce film-like videos.
The key attraction of the camcorders is undoubtedly the built-in high contrast projector. You can create a mini theater at any place on the go with the built-in projector and the stereo speakers equipped with the advanced Clear Phase technology and S-Master digital amplifier.
The projector integrated in the camcorder’s LCD display could project images on any flat surface including walls and ceilings. You can enjoy videos on a 60-inch diagonal screen, when your camcorder’s display is placed 18 feet away from a flat surface.
The wide-angle Sony G lens produces brilliant detailed images. Wide-angle shooting is enabled by the 29.8mm focal length of the lens in video mode and 27.4mm focal length in photo mode. The backlit Exmor R sensor improves the light sensitivity of the camcorder.
The sensor enables users to capture videos and stills in low light condition. Along with 12x optical zoom, the HD camcorder supports 17x extended zoom for filming distant images. The quality of HD images is not affected by zoom expansion.
The integrated Optical SteadyShot image stabilization with active mode prevents image blurring while recording action scenes. The 3-Way Shake Canceling feature further reduces the risk of image blurring from camera shakes.
Videos and photos captured with the camcorder could be reviewed on the 3-inch Clear Photo touch screen display of the camcorder. Surrounding audio could be captured with the integrated Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround microphone. To prevent noise interference caused by wind blowing over the microphone, Sony has added Wind Noise technology to the camcorder. Even Browse feature of the camcorder automatically groups the videos and photos to facilitate easy viewing.
PJ50V will come with 220GB hard disk space. PJ30V and PJ10 will offer 32GB and 16GB flash memory respectively.
Price
Sony HDR-PJ50V will be available for $1000 and HDR-PJ30V and HDR-PJ10 will cost $950 and $700 respectively.
