Sony Bringing In New Blu-Ray-Enabled Entertainment Products This July

The 3D HDTVs displayed recently by Sony are gaining immense popularity, but the new Blu-ray 3D series of home theatre systems, home audio components and players have also created a new sensation upon announcement.

Providing a full theatre-like experience to the users, these 3D series of home theatre systems, players and audio components make wireless connectivity easy & fast.

BDV-HZ970W is a Blu-ray accommodating 3D home theatre system. This is a 5.1 channel HD system with a 1080 pixel resolution display. Plus, the wireless capabilities of this model will be cherished by every user because it provides them with enormous utilities. Users cannot only connect to Bravia video platform via the 802.11n WLAN adapter, but can also avail their Qriocity service.

The all new BDV-HZ970W also comes with two HDMI inputs, which have 3D pass-through, universal remote and repeater functions. The device will also be an added advantage to the users of iPhone and iPod. With the help of these Blu-ray players, the iPhone and iPod users can easily manage their players through BD Remote, a free application that can be downloaded from Apple Application Store. Other than that, the BD Remote in android device turns them into remote controls. The users of Android device can also access the online details of Blu-ray disc with a lot of ease.


The 3D-capable home audio components include HT-CT350 and HT-CT150 that are 3.1 channel sound bars. STR-DN1010 AV is yet another 3D home audio component. The home theatre system, called HT-SF470 5.1 channel, gives users superb 3D experience. The receivers STR-DH810 and STR-DH710 AV will soon have 3D capability through a firmware update.

The 3D player BDP-S770 is attributed with Blu-ray with an included 802.11n WiFi connectivity. This device allows users access for Sony Bravia video platform and Qriocity service. The BDP-S470 and BDP-S570 Blu-ray players play 3D content through an online firmware update that is absolutely free.

This firmware update makes both the players attuned with DLNA. The BDV-HZ970W home theatre system can be availed at about $800, while the Blu-ray players are priced at $300. All the 3D Blu-ray models are slated to be made available by July.
