Future of Smartphones – Samsung Wave, Xperia X10 and HTC Legend
With the launch of many new mobile operating systems, the future of cell phone gadgets seems highly promising. The latest entry in the list is the Samsung Wave and Sony Ericson Xperia X10. Samsung comes with the latest model featuring their latest operating system named Bada OS. This smart phone from Samsung has a 3.3 inch screen with WVGA resolution. The innovative AMOLED screen of the product promises to reduce reflections by many times compared to other competitive smart phones in the market.

The phone Samsung Wave is similar to iPhone when it comes to processor, both run on a Cortex A8 1 GHz processor. To add to the feature list, Samsung Wave features an LED flash and 5MP camera. Wave is capable of providing any of the web enabled applications including Facebook, Twitter, Google and Yahoo calendars and many more. The slim sleek model from Samsung is surely going to mark its presence in the highly competitive smart phone market. The Bada OS is developed on Linux kernel and the software development kit (SDK) may be available to the developers very soon.

Sony Ericsson comes into the competition with its latest product Xperia X10 Mini and Xperia X10 Mini Pro both featuring Android OS. The Xperia X10 Mini Pro is differentiated with a QWERTY keypad which slides from beneath the body. The product has a 2.55 inch TFT scratch resistant touch screen and a powerful 600 MHz Qualcomm processor. The smart phone is packed with a 5MP camera with auto focus and geotagging. The four corner buttons are designed so that the user can customize them as per his needs. The Timescape feature which helps to integrate all contacts to one place makes it easier to use applications like Twitter and Facebook.
The successor to HTC Hero, HTC Legend is carved out of a single aluminum block with the trackball being replaced with a trackpad. With a capacitive 3.2 inch touch screen promising the user a rich graphical experience, the Legend from HTC is surely capable of capturing the hearts of smart phone users.
