Resembling theSamsung Admire to a great deal, Samsung Vitality flaunts rounded edges with ribbed texture. Samsung Vitality is dimensionally 4.6×2.4×0.5 inches, weighs 4.14 ounces and is made of plastic that make it extremely handy and light. The phone sports 3.5-inch screen with HVGA resolution that boasts of sharp and detailed graphics along with vivid colors.Based on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, the Samsung Vitality offers 5 customizable home screens.
This means that you can add shortcut icons, folders and widgets. With 4 key rows in the virtual keyboard, each key houses a letter, a punctuation mark and a number. There is also another keyboard dedicated for symbols and numbers. The phone sports a standard dial pad. Touch interface is impressively accurate and quick in response.
The Menu button, Home button, Search button and Back button are present at the bottom of the display. At the left edge, there are the microSD slot and volume rocker. At the right edge, Muve Music button and power button find place. There is a microUSB port at the bottom edge and 3.5mm audio jack at the top edge. The 3.2MP camera is at the back cover.
Muve Music
It was a prominent feature in the Samsung Suede but in Samsung Vitality, Muve Music is present in its all-new avatar with MyDJ app and Shazam music ID. With Muve Music, downloading music becomes really easy. But the phone does not enable music download over WiFi. You have to download music over data connection.
The only condition to have continuous access to Muve Music is that you should not miss out on monthly bill payment. Moreover, users won’t be able to transfer the downloaded music files to another device. Samsung Vitality sports a pre-installed card for Muve Music with up to 4GB space housing almost 3000 downloads. Users have the option to buy an additional 8GB Muve Music card for additional storage.
Features
Like most other Android-based smartphones, Samsung Vitality offers connectivity options such as WiFi and Bluetooth, is GPS-enabled and supports a range of Google services including Gmail, Google Maps, Google Navigator, etc.

The 3.2MP camera captures still images in up to 4 resolutions ranging between 3.2MP and 64x480p (VGA resolution). The phone is generous with settings options that include 6 scene modes, 3 focus modes, 5 options for white balance, 5 color effects, spot metering and geolocation. With video recording, the camera offers 6 color effects.
Software
Samsung Vitality offers easy access to almost 250,000 apps in Android Market. There are some pre-installed apps too such as backup app, shortcut to My Account and Cricket 411. ThinkFree Office, Poynt, Midnight Pool 2, Uno and Twitter are some other apps.
Performance
Calls are often accompanied by some distortions. Callers are bound to feel low sound and voice garbling besides echo. When the phone is put on speakers, the hollowness in voice gets even better. Samsung Vitality offers talk time of around 6.5 hours and standby time of around 10.4 days.
Conclusion
Although Muve Music is considered to be the biggest selling point of Samsung Vitality, it is nevertheless a handset that has enough standalone features. An intuitive touchscreen, attractive design and easy navigation are some of the attributes that will force the buyer to opt for Samsung Vitality at $199.99 (with $65 monthly rental for Muve Music).
