Nearly 84 percent of Samsung Restore handset is recyclable. It is free from hazardous materials such as PVC, BMR, beryllium and phthalates. About 27 percent of the outer casing of the Samsung handset is made out of recycled plastic. Even the box used for packing the Samsung Restore handset has been created from recycled consumer materials and soy ink has been used for printing texts and images. Moreover, Samsung Restore will be shipped with an energy efficient charger, carrying an Energy Star 2.0 rating. In the standby mode, the charger will consume less than 30mW of power. To encourage eco friendly lifestyle, Samsung Restore features green applications, providing environment friendly tips. Environment friendly screensavers and ringtones are preloaded in the handset.

Other features

Samsung Restore flaunts a 117mm long, 53mm wide and 15mm thin body, weighing 122 grams. Along with an alphanumeric keypad, the Samsung Restore handset features a slide-out horizontal QWERTY keyboard. The color display of the device supports images of 240 x 320 pixels resolution. Samsung has included an optical joystick in the Samsung Restore handset. Samsung Restore users could snap photographs and record videos with the 2 megapixel camera of the phone equipped with digital zoom.

Users could download songs from the Sprint Music Store and play them on the integrated MP3 player of the phone. Sprint subscribers could access prominent Sprint services with the Sprint Restore handset. You can watch your favorite TV show on Sprint TV. Sprint Football Live and Sprint Family Locator are some additional entertainment services offered by the Kansas based carrier. Bluetooth, PC syncing via Sprint’s Mobile Sync and GPS with Sprint Navigation support are other prominent features of the upcoming eco friendly Samsung phone.

Price and availability

Samsung Restore will hit the stores this summer. It will cost $50 with a two-year Sprint contract.
