Samsung Mobile has just announced that Samsung Galaxy S phones will be supported by US carriers such as AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, US Cellular, Verizon Wireless and Cellular South this year.Samsung Galaxy S brags many high-end technological features like the super AMOLED- colored display screen measuring 4 inches, Hummingbird Application processor of 1GHz and a complete array of entertainment features such as messaging capabilities and social networking. Besides, the software apps that are compatible with the phone are varied and interesting.

Samsung Galaxy S phone also sport 5-megapixel camera that will shoot 720p HD videos. Also, it has excellent connectivity options such as WiFi 802.11 b/g/n as well as Bluetooth 3.0.

Besides these, there will be the goodness of HSPA and Android Eclair. It is expected that the Sprint version of Samsung Galaxy S i.e. the Epic G will run on Android 2.2.

Samsung Galaxy S is run on Android 2.1 platform and will be fully supported by Google Mobile services like Android market, Google maps, Google Search, Google Mail, Google Talk and YouTube, to name a few. The Android Market has about 60,000 plus apps to be exploited by the users of Samsung Galaxy.

The Social Hub, an application by Samsung, keeps the users connected. With Contacts & Messaging, at the focus, the Social Hub starts all sorts of sending & receiving info in the form of e-mail, instant messages, text messages and profile updates on social networking sites.

Portal calendars’ info and social network services are simultaneously displayed in a single calendar with 2-way synchronization.

Along the line of many other devices that are going ‘Green’, Samsung Galaxy S too will feature “SmartLife” ecosystem integration. Also, it has native GPS integration with 3D maps that help you keep track of the exact location and avoid traffic.

An assortment of Samsung Galaxy S smartphones, which will be available in the US wireless carriers, are: Samsung Captivate for AT&T, Samsung Vibrant for T-Mobile, and Samsung Fascinate for Verizon Wireless. These smartphones will hit the market in the coming months.

Samsung Galaxy S phones will be supported by US Cellular and Cellular South too and these models will be launched by Fall 2010. It is also estimated that Samsung Galaxy S Smartphones will be powered by Android 2.2.
