Phones In Fashion

Cell phone companies have been slashing prices in an attempt to grab market share. The result? Features that could be found only in phones with big price tags are now available in devices that cost almost half as much. Here are three phones that deliver a whole lot of bang while not straying above the Rs.7, 000 mark when it comes to price:

1. Samsung Corby Mate
For all those of you, who like having a cool large QWERTY keypad handy for belting out those really long text messages or e-mails, the Samsung Corby Mate is just the ticket. It not only comes with a four-row QWERTY keypad that slides out from the side of the 2 inch screen, but there’s also a numeric keypad right next to the screen. Well, now that means one can dial numbers without having to slide out the keypad at all.  It’s great at playing music and packs in a decent 2 megapixel camera, with memory that can be expanded to up to 8 GB. Not a bad deal at all for Rs 5,900.

2. Motorola ZN300
If you’re looking for a phone with a decent camera and great voice quality, the ZN300 is the perfect device for you. Its compact slider form makes it easy to carry it around, while the keys around its 2 inch screen allow you to tweak images and videos taken from the excellent 3.2 megapixel camera. Also, you can edit images and videos on the phone itself. The Moto Java Linux is incredibly fast and the battery lasts for almost two days. The best thing about this phone is that its memory can be expanded to a staggering 32 GB. We think this is a great deal just for Rs 7, 000.

3. Zen Z90
This one is for those who want a flaunt-worthy phone, without burdening their wallets too much. Yes, it’s got decent specs with a 3 megapixel camera, but what’ll really grab attention is its 68 mm x 68 mm form, which is like a small square that slides open to reveal a small keypad. This is a phone that one can literally carry in the palm of their hand, trust us! Yes, the camera could have been better and the keyboard takes some getting used to, but at Rs 5,399 we doubt if you can find a better eyeball-grabber out there.
