Panasonic Gets All-Touchy With LUMIX DMC-FX700
Panasonic is all set to introduce a cool new compact digital camera with loads of features. Known as the Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FX700, the newest camera can record 1080p full HD videos in AVCHD format.
It sports a touchscreen LCD measuring 3 inches and 14.1-megapixel sensor. The built-in lens in the camera is 24mm ultra-wide angle LEICA DC VARIO-SUMMICRON with 5x optical zoom.
This 24mm ultra-wide angle lens is rare in conventional compact cameras and offers an excellent depth-of-field. Photographers can enjoy 213% larger viewing space as likened to a 35mm camera. In addition, the camera also provides greater composition possibilities to the photographer.
LUMIX FX700 records videos in AVCHD format, which allows twice the HD recording time than in conventional JPEG format. The latest camera can also record in 1920 x 1080 resolutions that ensure best picture quality. Besides, the Intelligent Resolution technology augments the quality of the images. The LUMIX FX700 also comes with Dolby Digital Stereo sound creator for delivering high-quality audio.
The LUMIX FX700 features a 230,000-dot LCD screen measuring 3 inches. This leads to precision in pointing & tapping that otherwise is a messy affair. Now, you will be able to go to the right selection by tapping on any of the Menu option on the screen.
As the entire camera market is getting touchscreen, LUMIX FX700 was bound to follow this trend and hence it adopts complete touchscreen operation. The 3-inch screen is quite efficient in handling the touchscreen operation.
Besides, the camera boasts of Auto Focus system. The Auto Focus tracking function follows the subject even when it is moving and captures the subject you have chosen without any blur-effect.
This functionality helps lot in clicking the pictures of kids and pets. The Intelligent Scene Selector function helps the camera switch to the most suitable mode automatically as per the subject you have opted for. All menus settings can be controlled with one touch for shooting still images as well as videos.
The LUMIX FX700 also has Intelligent Auto (iA) feature. It is powered by Venus Engine FHD processor that allows for enhanced signal-processing capabilities. Slated to be made available in late August, the Panasonic LUMIX FX700 will come at a price of $399.95 in an elegant black color.
