Origin Intros EON15 Gaming Laptop
The US-based Origin has come up with its brand-new creation. The latest creation comes in the form of a high-performance notebook, which is christened as the EON 15. Though quite similar to other standard notebooks as far as its specs sheet is concerned, but with it the company is also reported to have fulfilled one of its main goals and for which it’s got united with Killer Paint and embed its customers with the option to design their portable gaming PC.
Featuring the most recent 2010 Intel Core CPU, the Origin EON 15, on the configuration front, comes with a Quad-Core processor, which boasts both an Intel Core i7-820QM and Core i7-720QM. The Intel Core i7-720QM touts to provide a maximum of 1.6GHz (up to 2.8GHz) clock speed and cache of around 6MB, while Intel Core i7-820QM offers about 1.73GHz ( a maximum of 3.06GHz) core frequency as also a cache of 8MB. Besides, the central processing units (CPU) of the duo also come included with Hyper-Threading and Turbo Boost technologies from Intel.
The latest laptop is also adorned with the features of a 15.6-inch LED-backlit widescreen, which boasts of providing up to 1920-by-1080 pixels resolution, that allow users to enjoy watching Full HD 1080p videos. The EON 15 also boasts of accommodating an internal 1333MHz DDR3 memory of about 8GB, mechanical hard drive (HDD) of about 500GB. The mechanical hard drive (HDD) gets rotated at 7200RPM and an SSD of about 250GB.
The device also comes with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 285M video card, which cares for the graphics. This card has a dedicated GDDR3 VRAM of 1GB. Apart from that, the new gaming notebook also comes subsumed with dual layer Blu-Ray Burner Combo. As to its connectivity options, the Origin EON 15 offers support for Bluetooth 2.1+EDR adapters and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/draft-N.
As far as its ports are concerned, the portable PC allows DVI-I, 4 speedy USB 2.0 ports, one eSATA port and an HDMI interface accompanied by HDCP support. It also offers a 7-inch -1 media card reader slot.
Pre-loaded with Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit operating system, the EON15 gaming laptop, with included detachable Polymer Smart Lithium-Ion battery, is weighed 7.3lbs (3.31kg). Last but not the least, the gaming laptop comes with a full size chiclet keyboard, which is said to have a multi-gesture touchpad, a numeric pad and hi-def Audio with 7.1 Digital Surround Sound support. The Origin EON 15 is available to clutch at an initial cost of US $1,899 (€1,405/£1,265).
