Onkyo MX1007A4 Netbook
Targeting on-the-move users and adding new member to its line of netbooks, Japan-based Onkyo now has announced the availability of MX1007A4 which is conspicuously crafted and brags of proffering long-lasting battery backup and portability.
Scheduled to be made in Japan on April 10, 2010, the MX1007A4 mini-notebook comes built-in with a modish chiclet keyboard, which subsumes a fingerprint reader for augmented security and multi-gesture touchpad and
Besides, the MX1007A4, on the configuration front, comes integrated with a single-core Intel Atom Z515 CPU, which proffers up to 1.2GHz clock frequency, a cache of 512Kb and only 1.4W Max TDP. Further, the latest notebook also comes integrated with a 10.1-in LCD LED-backlit display that offers up to 1024-by-600 pixels resolution.
The all-new device is also reported to house in an internal DDR2 memory of 1GB as also mechanical (HDD) of 250GB. The spacious mechanical (HDD) gets rotated at 5400RPM. Besides, it also comes built-in with Intel’s Graphics Media Accelerator 500, which tackles graphics and is housed in with shared video RAM of 251MB. Typically, it doesn’t come built-in with an optical drive.
As far as the connectivity options of Onkyo’s MX1007A4 are concerned, it is said to give support for Bluetooth 2.1+EDR adapters and Wireless LAN 802.11 b/g, which allows the users to be in touch with their near and dear ones. Besides, the users are also given with a media card reader slot, two USB 2.0 ports and D-Sub. The device, as usual, has also been incorporated with 1.3mp web camera, which has a microphone and allows video chats in an easy and comfortable way.
Reported to come pre-loaded with Windows 7 Starter Edition operating system, the brand new mini-notebook, in-built with 5800mAh Lithium-ion battery, comes with the weight of only 1.16kg (2.56lbs).
Other than what I said above, the netbook also makes a niche with its superb battery life, which, according to the grapevine, enables the system to function for about 14.4 hrs on single charge.
As of now, the MX1007A4 would be offered in Japan on April 10th, but so far, there is no word as to its pricing and as soon as it comes we will let you know.
