Expanding its X-series line-up, Nokia has officially unveiled the Nokia X2 handset. Although, Nokia X2 does not belong to the ‘smartphone’ category, but nonetheless, the Finnish cell phone giant has deluged the X-series phone with features that you can find in standard smartphones.
Nokia X2 features
Nokia is noted for its music series phones, and Nokia X2 has been created to expand the Finnish mobile phone maker’s music centric phone portfolio. However, while taking a closer look at the music centric features of the Nokia X2 handset, you will hardly come across an exclusive audio feature created specifically for Nokia X2. Just like other feature phones, Nokia X2 has an integrated music player. It sports dedicated music keys for switching on the music player and changing volumes. Dual speakers will produce resonating sound effect.
The built-in FM radio will connect you to the local FM radio stations. If you are unwilling to share the music pouring from your Nokia X2 handset with people round you, use your Bluetooth headset. Nokia X2 is even equipped with a 3.5mm audio jack to connect the handset to wired headphones. The USB 2.0 port equipped in the Nokia music phone could facilitate PC syncing.
Users can use Windows Media Player 11 or Ovi Player PC client for managing and transferring music files between the PC and Nokia X2 handset. The 48 MB integrated flash memory might not offer sufficient space for storing a large number of audio files. Fortunately, Nokia X2 flaunts microSD memory card slot for expanding external memory.
Other features
Nokia X2 sports a 2.2 inches QVGA display, a numeric keypad and a 5 megapixel camera with video recorder, digital zoom and LED flash. It is packed with Opera Mini browser. Social networking enthusiasts would love to know that Facebook could be accessed from the home screen of Nokia X2.
