Touted to be the best home console in the market, the Nintendo Wii is out for grabs! Let’s take a look at how this outstanding innovation is about to change the gaming experience. Nintendo Wii has all necessary equipment incorporated for a good gaming experience. All you need to do after buying is to plug in and start playing. It has standard definition graphics.  While,  one of the best features of this system are its innovative controls.

It has the Wii Remote or ‘Wiimote‘ as it is popularly called. The Wiimote has the force-feedback technology. It also boasts of a revolutionary motion sensing controllers. Motion sensing, essentially means you are required to mime the actions while playing any game. For instance, if you are playing a golf game you will be required to hold the controller like it was a golf club. There is a second controller, which is in style of a joystick, called the Nunchuk. This can be bolted on and used to expand gaming options.

Some of the games available on this system are; Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Super Mario Galaxy and Wario Ware. In adittion, it is compatible with Nintendo GameCube titles also. Furthermore, the system has built-in Wi-Fi, thus making free online services and games easily accessible.

In addition, there are a number of Nintendo Wii accessories in the market that can further maximize gaming experience of the user  tremendously. For instance, the console comes with a GameCube controller to play the Nintendo GameCube titles. But you will need additional accessories to enjoy the GameCube experience completely. Like the GameCube memory card. If you do not have this then the progress made through many games will be lost when the system is shut down.  Other useful accessories with this gaming system are; prepaid Wii Points card, 1 gigabyte SD memory card, Nintendo Wi-Fi USB connector etc.

There are a few drawbacks of this system too. The controller often eats batteries. It might also take some time before the user gets used to the controller. It also does not have the high-definition graphics, and hard disk drive features like in the Sony PlayStation 3. Even the Xbox 360 has much more advanced HD graphics and sound functions. Therefore, as it is going to face tough competition from Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, the Nintendo Wii has reduced its sales price considerably. It’s truly a good bargain, what are you waiting for!
