New XS35 Slim PC From Shuttle
Shuttle, an expert in the niche of high-performance but small form factor PC solutions, has come up with their latest offering.
The new XS35 slim PC, slim because it is ultra thin. It measures only 1.5 inches (38.5 cms) in thickness; whew! This slim design saves on space and also makes the device look sleek when resting on your table.
Not to mention the slim built helps immensely in some of the functional uses; like it becomes so easy to carry it around. Also it can easily be mounted behind an LCD TV or monitor, the slim built and VESA mount capability of the device allow for this. So you can see how this slim PC can blend around your place because of its design specifications.
This slim PC is available in three different configurations. These are the Everyday, Media, and High-Definition. All three configurations of this PC boast of features like the built-in 802.11n WiFi, a dual-core 1.66GHz Atom D510 CPU, 5 USB ports, and a 4-in-1 media card reader and a D-sub connector.
While the Media and High-Definition models also have DVD-RW drives; a bonus! It does not have the run-of-mill fan cooling system, thus generates less noise and does not draw dust on the inside. So the device is extremely quiet and is also dust proof. It is also energy-efficientand hardly requires any maintenance.
The ‘everyday’ version of this new slim PC incorporates Intel(R) GMA 3150 graphics. This version has 1GB of memory (it can be expanded up to 2GB) and also a 160GB hard drive.
Whereas, the ‘media’ edition is touted to have an enhanced performance, more space, and additional capabilities as compared to the ‘everyday’ version. The memory capacity in this configuration has been increased. The memory has been upgraded to 2GB, while the hard drive has a capacity of 320GB. There is also a built-in slim DVD burner in this PC.
The “high-definition” edition integrates the latest next-generation NVIDIA ION graphics with true 1080p HDMI output. The memory capacity of this model is 2GB, while the hard drive is 500GB. The slim DVD burner it includes can be upgraded to support Blu-ray. It also has Ethernet ports and VGA output.
The multiple features make this PC useful; for just about everything. It can be used at home, for entertainment or in business as well as industrial applications.
