MSI is well-known for the introduction of its best-of-the-breed products such as graphics cards, ultra-portable solutions and desktop replacement notebooks.
And after successfully launching many avant-garde and technologically advanced devices, MSI is in news again, now the company has announced the availability of the FX600 and FR600 notebooks that speak of outward look and inward features.
Though both the notebooks are good from every aspect, one among these two notebooks will be highly demanded thanks to the 3D totem seal-coating technology, which keeps the notebooks protected against scratches and smudges and renders them an elegant and eye-catching look even after prolonged use.
The new MSI FX600 and FR600 are multimedia-oriented and boast of the cinema-class, top-of-the-line surround sound. Both the notebooks also have the Cinema Pro technology, proprietary to MSI, which leverages the 15.6-inch TFT LCD displays in high-definition.
The integrated Intel Core i5 processor in these notebooks ensures high performance at the expense of less power, quite unlike conventional laptops. They also come subsumed with Intel’s Turbo Boost and Hyper-Threading technology, which let the systems handle more data sans substantial effect on the notebook’s performance. The Turbo Drive technology throttles up the performance of the processor by a single touch on the brushed-metal P1 hotkey located above the keyboard.
The FR600 has Intel HD Graphics module, whereas the FX600 sports NVIDIA GeForce GT325M graphics card to take care of the multimedia and games. Both the GPU modules have a display memory of 1GB GDDR3 ensuring high performance. The built-in webcam is capable of recording HD videos.
The differing GPU segment is the sole criterion that sets apart the two models, which are otherwise identical with regards to other features. The two models have 250/320/500GB SATA of supported HDDs. Also, the connectivity and the networking options is more or less the same. The two notebooks feature Bluetooth V2.1 + EDR and 802.11 b/g/n draft n.
Besides, both the notebooks also feature 4-in-1 XD/SD/MMC/Memory Stick card reader. A number of I/O ports like HDMI, D-sub, e-SATAx1 (USB Combo), USB 2.0×2, Mic-in, RJ-45 and Headphone are also slotted into these two notebooks.
Plus, with 6-cell battery, the FX600 model weighs 2.4kg, while FR600 weighs 2.3kg. As of now, there is word as to the pricing and availability of these two devices.
