Motorola Atrix 4G Arrives On AT&T

Motorola Atrix is the first AT&T smartphone with dual core Tegra 2 processor. This new Android based smartphone will run on the new generation HSPA-plus 4G network of the carrier. Motorola Atrix is loaded with impressive specifications.

Armed with the 1GHz Nvidia Tegra dual core processor, Motorola Atrix 4G is expected to offer robust functionality. To enhance the multitasking functions of the smartphone, Motorola has added 1GB RAM to the smartphone handset. The 4G enabled smartphone will run on the Android 2.2 operating system.

The QHD display technology, integrated in the large 4-inch touch screen display of the smartphone, supports 24-bit color graphics for faster refresh rate. The touch screen of Atrix refreshes five times faster than the displays of standard smartphones. The high-resolution (480 x 800 pixel) QHD display also features accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor and ambient light sensor.

Shutterbugs can use the 5-megapixel primary camera of Motorola Atrix 4G for capturing high-definition videos. The primary camera is equipped with zoom, flash and auto focus. The secondary 0.3-megapixel camera located at the front of the handset facilitates video calling.

The impressive Android smartphone carries MP3 player and FM radio. Users can play songs downloaded from AT&T Mobile Music on the built-in MP3 player and enjoy high-definition videos downloaded from AT&T Video on the stunning display of Atrix. Motorola has added GPS to the 4G phone. AT&T subscribers could access voice guided AT&T Navigation to reach their destination.

The full touch screen phone offers large on board storage space. However, if the 16GB memory is not sufficient for storing all your documents, you can opt for memory expansion via microSD memory card slot.

The 117mm long, 64mm wide and 10mm thin Android phone features Bluetooth, 3.5mm audio jack and USB port. It can be used for browsing the internet in Wi-Fi zones. Fast web surfing and data download is supported by the new HSDPA-Plus 4G network of AT&T. Its 1930mAh Li-Ion battery supports up to 9 hours of talk time and 10.4 days of standby time on a single charge.

To ensure security of data stored in the handset, Motorola has included security features such as wipe and restore and fingerprint detection in the smartphone.

Atric 4G will hit the shelves in the first quarter of this year.
