LG To Unveil Ultra-Thin LEX8 3DTV at IFA 2010
LG has always been the pioneer in the arena of 3D entertainment devices. This IFA 2010 too, the company will provide us with its all-new LEX8 3DTV that exemplifies the next generation HDTV. The strong suit of the LEX8 3DTV is the NANO lighting technology.
Measuring 0.88cm thick, the LEX8 3DTV woos us with its razor edge profile. Plus, there is the 1.25cm bezel that adds to the stylishness of this ultra-thin 3DTV. In addition to the form factor, LEX8 3DTV boasts of some truly value-added features such as TruMotion 400MHz technology that results in blur-free image output.
This is done by rendering an ultra-fast processing rate for images in motion. This lends a realistic touch to the movies you are watching involving you in a more engrossing experience. It is the anti-reflection panel that enables you to keep this 3DTV in any corner of your house irrespective of light source – thanks to TruMotion.
The Nano LED design, proprietary to LG, results in the sleek form factor of this TV. The TV makes use of a very thin film on which tiny dots are printed. This enables the screen to disperse light effectively and evenly all over the screen. Hence, the NANO technology promises much better pictures in terms of brightness, clarity and smoothness.
LEX8 3DTV features Micro Pixel control that accounts for enhanced localized dimming not only in 3D but also in 2D. Micro Pixel control directs each LED block and hence result in life-like pictures.
LEX8 3DTV belongs to the Infinia Line of HDTVs and sports the characteristic NetCast online service, the MagicMotion remote control and compatibility with DLNA. NetCast online allows the users to create web albums besides allowing them to make video calls. On the other hand, compatibility with DLNA allows the users to access media libraries. Also, MagicMotion remote handles precise pointing of the cursor.
Since there is no word on price as well as availability of this elegant 3DTV, we will have to wait till IFA 2010. It is also expected that after the exhibition at Berlin, the 3DTV will start shipping to Korea for sale. However, there is no information available regarding its sale in the US.
