HTC Launches Desire S, Incredible S And Wildfire S
HTC has launched the refreshed versions of its popular Android powered smartphones Desire, Incredible and Wildfire at the Mobile World Congress at Barcelona. The revamped smartphones, dubbed Desire S, Incredible S and Wildfire S will be available in the second quarter of this year.
HTC Desire S
HTC has packed the Android Froyo software and a 1 GHz processor in the 115mm long, 60mm wide and 12mm thin unibody of Desire S. The HTC Sense user interface is embedded in the 3.7-inch AMOLED touchscreen display with 480×800 pixels resolution. The Android smartphone is endowed with a 5-megapixel camera with auto focus, LED flash, zoom and HD camcorder. Video chatting will be facilitated by the front facing 0.3-megapixel camera of Desire S.
Video contents captured with the HD camcorder of the smartphone could be streamed to DLNA capable televisions. Stereo Bluetooth, Webkit browser, Wi-Fi, GPS and USB 2.0 are integrated in the smartphone. Desire S promises seamless data transfer over HSPA-plus network. The revamped version of HTC Desire offers 1.1 GB of on board storage space, microSD card slot, 9.8 hours of talk time and 17.9 days of standby time.
HTC Incredible S
HTC Incredible S boasts of a large 4-inch AMOLED touch sensitive display. Its processing function will be powered by a 1GHz processor. HTC has given Incredible S the Android 2.2 operating system. It offers HD quality sound through SRS WOW HD. For snapping pictures and recording videos, HTC Incredible S is endowed with a rear facing 8-megapixel camera with dual LED flash and HD video recorder. The 1.3MP secondary camera, located at the front of the smartphone handset, supports video calling. Other key features of the smartphone include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, browser, 1.1GB internal memory, microSD card slot, 9.7 hours of talk time and 12.1 days of standby time.
HTC Wildfire S
HTC Wildfire S is powered by a 600MHz processor. Equipped with a 3.2-inch AMOLED touch screen display, Wildfire S will run on the Android 2.2 operating system. Pictures snapped with the built-in 5MP camera of Wildfire S could be instantly uploaded to Facebook. Users can access Google services from the Android phone handset. It supports only 512MB internal memory. MicroSD card slot, Bluetooth 3.0, USB 2.0, GPS, Wi-Fi and HSPA-plus connectivity are other major attributes of HTC Wildfire S.
