HTC Introduces Multimedia Superphone HTC Sensation
HTC Sensation is a “multimedia superphone” equipped with qHD screen for displaying high quality videos and Hi-Fi audio technology for enhancing the acoustic experience of the users.
The performance of the smartphone is further enriched with the latest HTC Sense 3.0 user interface.
HTC Sensation Features
Operating system
HTC Sensation will run on the latest Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. The 1.2 GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor will significantly improve the response time of the smartphone.

Design
The Taiwan-based cell phone maker has given HTC Sensation a stylish slim form, 126mm long, 65mm wide and 11mm thick. Thanks to the lightweight aluminum casing, HTC Sensation handset weighs only 148 grams. The large touch screen is crafted out of Gorilla Glass. The concave design of the glass protects the display from scratches.
Display
The 4.3-inch qHD touch sensitive screen of the smartphone could display high-definition videos. HTC Sensation users could view high-resolution photos in vivid colors. Proximity sensor, ambient light sensor and accelerometer are embedded in the display of the Android smartphone.
Camera
HTC Sensation features an 8-megapixel primary camera mounted on the back of the smartphone handset and a low-resolution VGA front facing secondary camera. Equipped with dual LED flash, auto focus and zoom, the primary camera of HTC Sensation could capture the special moments of your life as soon as you press the shutter button.
The instant capture camera is activated instantly the moment you click the shutter button, enabling shooting without delay. In addition, the HD camcorder could deliver stunning 1080p full HD videos, which could be streamed to HDTV monitors through the built-in HDMI port. Photos and videos captured with the smartphone camera could be shared with friends through emails or uploaded on Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and YouTube.
The 0.3MP front facing camera aids video conferencing.
Entertainment
HTC Sensation elevates your audio experience with the built in SRS Virtual Surround Sound system. The Hi-Fi audio technology generates crystal clear sound. The media content stashed in the smartphone could be streamed wirelessly to DLNA certified computers or TVs. FM radio is installed in the smartphone handset.
Messaging
The latest HTC device supports text and multimedia messaging, emails and chatting. Twitter and Facebook apps are preinstalled in the handset.
Connectivity
HTC Sensation features Bluetooth 3.0, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi connectivity and 3.5mm stereo audio jack. This HSPA-Plus enabled device supports fast data transfer speed.
GPS
The internal GPS antenna will support navigation and location based services.
Storage capacity
The new HTC product will come with 1GB on board storage space. Users can opt for external memory expansion with microSD memory card.
Battery life
On GSM network, the 1520mAh battery could power the smartphone for up to 8.3 hours. The battery supports up to 14.6 days of standby time.
Applications and services
HTC Sensation users could access prominent Google services including Google Search, Google Maps, Google Calendar, Gmail and YouTube. Apps and games could be downloaded from the Android Market. Television shows and films could be streamed from HTC Watch video service.
Availability
The Android-based smartphone will arrive in the retail stores this summer.
