HP Outs G62x Series 15.6-inch Budget Notebook
HP has recently unveiled its all new budget notebook series named as G62x series. Quite similar to the prevailing HP’s G62t series of notebooks, the G62X series notebooks have been especially designed for the business users.
However, G62t series notebooks seem to offer greater flexibility and more hardware options than the newly launched G62x series notebooks.
G62x series notebooks are driven by Intel’s Core i3 processors. So far GPU is concerned; users have the choice between ATI Mobility Radeon HD5470 and Intel HD graphics.
The G62x series notebooks sport either 250GB HDD or 320GB HDD as per the choices of the users. Besides, the users of these two notebooks are also allowed to choose from the 2GB DDR3 memory or 3GB DDR3 memory. One admirable feat of the G62x series notebooks is that it does away with the slow DDR2 memory and suffices with DDR3 memory module.
In terms of connectivity, the G62x series notebooks provide 802.11n Wi-Fi and Ethernet LAN. Also, these notebooks sport 3 x USB ports for seamless connectivity with external sources and devices, thus allowing for easy sharing and transferring of files.
These notebooks also take care about the users’ multimedia concerns and support 5-in-1 media card reader and a VGA as well as HDMI output. Thanks to the VGA and HDMI output, users can enjoy their favorite movies and videos on larger displays.
The G62x series notebooks also sport DVD burner and a built-in webcam. They too sport 15.6-inch displays (1366 x 768 pixels resolution) with LED backlighting. And if you’re a music aficionado, the notebooks are also built-in with speakers. The built-in 6-cell battery lasts for 5.5 hours without interruption.
The Charcoal Black color of these G62x series notebooks add to their elegance and make them fit for every personality type.
The G62x series notebooks lag behind the previous G62t series of notebooks in terms of multiple options for upgrading storage & enhancing processor performance. That means, users of G62t series of notebooks can increase the storage up to 640GB which in the case of G62x series of notebooks is just 320GB.
The choice is upon the users since the G62t series of notebooks are more budget-friendly with $479.99 price tag as opposed to G62x series of notebooks that is priced just $549.99.
The only mantra behind the G62x series laptops is that it’s meant for business purposes while the G62t series was designed for home use.
