The availability of multiple language support present in the iPhone and iPod is aimed at simplifying its usage for the people who don’t have a working knowledge of the English language.

Even though these devices are set to English by default, it so happens many times that the language in our iPhone or iPod changes without our knowledge. There may be worse cases when this happens accidentally by ourselves and we don’t know how to get to the original understandable language.

It doesn’t disturb the normal functioning of the iPhone or the iPod and you still will be in a position to make and receive calls or play songs. But getting out of this world of foreign language will be your chief concern. However, by following these simple steps, you can easily set your phone’s language to the one you can understand.

Go to the Home Screen of the iPhone, locate the gear icon and tap on it. This will lead you to the Settings menu of the iPhone. The Settings menu is similar to the settings menu of other phones. So, you would be familiar with its style of menus and functioning.

Next step will be to go to the sub-menu called ‘General Settings’. To do so, tap the gear icon once again. As the General Settings screen opens up, scroll down to reach to the settings group that comprises of four to five options. Tap on the option number four.

Tapping on option number four will show up a new screen. On this screen, tap on the very first option. This will lead you to another sub-menu called General International Settings. Here you can choose the language you want to see your iPhone operating in.
Select the language. Tap on the blue icon that shines bright to the screen’s upper right.

Wait for a few seconds till your iPod or iPhone applies the newly selected language and once it is done, you will be automatically taken to the iPod or iPhone’s home screen. So, your home screen should now have your preferred language displayed. Thus, following these simple steps, you can easily set your preferred language.
