Enterprise Digital Assistant from Motorola – Motorola ES400
The latest addition to the smart phone basket from Motorola is the new Motorola ES400, an Enterprise Digital Assistant (EDA) capable of being functional across the globe. The global usability of this phone across regions is credited to the combined support for both GSM and CDMA networks.
According to Motorola, the phone is highly capable of withstanding the pressures of rain, high and low temperatures and snow.
The underlying operating system is Windows Mobile 6.5.3 professional.
The latest Motorola ES400 is powered by a 600MHz processor and has a high quality touch screen of VGA resolution. A feature which makes this product stand ahead among the competitors is the biometric finger print reader. The Motorola ES400 is a high end phone featuring 256MB RAM and a 1GB micro SD card slot.
The mobile carries Global Positioning System which helps to track the location and route for travelers. The feature rich phone also carries support for HSDPA, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
A combination of a camera and bar code scanner is another attractive feature of this camera from Motorola. The Motorola ES400 features a 3 megapixel autofocus camera for picture capturing functionalities. The new Enterprise Digital Assistant is yet to reach the market, and the expectations over the product are very high.
The Motorola ES400 weighs 156g and carries a TFT display of 65K colors. The product features a full QWERTY keyboard and an accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate. The micro SD card slot is extensible up to 32GB. The EDA from Motorola supports USB 2.0. The ruggedness of the product is well highlighted by the promise of drop to concrete resistance up to .91 m.
The music player is capable of playing formats including MP3, AAC etc. The Video player plays multiple formats including H.264, 3gp and mp4. The phone lacks an infrared port and FM radio. Considering the usage as an EDA, these features may not be required for the Motorola ES400.
The GPRS, 3G and WAP 2.0 browser makes internet connection and data transfer very easy with the enterprise digital assistant Motorola ES400. The Li-Ion battery powers the phone and has a 6hour talk time backup and a 250 hours standby time.
