Dell, the world leader in computing devices that has successfully forayed into the smartphone sector, will launch two stunning tablet PCs. Dell will offer the world a larger tablet, dubbed Looking Glass, and the much-awaited 5-inch Streak in the last quarter of this year.

Dell Looking Glass

Through its powerful features, Looking Glass will be your entry point to the cyber world. The Tegra 2 processor will offer robust speed to the tablet PC, running on the Android 2.1 Éclair platform. The 800 x 480 pixels high-resolution screen of the Dell tablet promises to produce outstanding images. Dell Looking Glass will be one of the best tablets in the 7 inches tablet category. The Android based browser of the tablet supports rich graphics and multitasking.

Looking Glass could playback audio and video files in prominent formats. The integrated optional TV tuner will display your favorite television shows on the Dell tablet screen. This 3G enabled tablet PC could stream the videos on the Looking Glass smoothly without glitches. For snapping photos or for facilitating video conferencing a 1.3 megapixel web camera is fitted on the front face of the upcoming Dell tablet PC.

The sleek and slim tablet measures 198mm long and130mm broad. It is less than 13mm thick and weighs only 500 grams. Besides internet browsing and computing tasks, Dell Looking Glass will support message exchange through SMS, MMS, IM and Webmail and Microsoft Active Sync.

Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB port are included in the Dell tablet. Along with 4GB internal storage space, Dell Looking Glass offers memory expansion up to 32GB. With the built-in A-GPS antenna, Looking Glass can work as your navigation device.

Dell Looking Glass will come on the AT&T network in November.

Dell Streak
Wrapped in Gorilla Glass, Dell has created a stunning 5 inches display for the upcoming Streak tablet. Equipped with multi touch capability, accelerometer, ambient light sensor and proximity sensor, the high-resolution LCD display of Dell Streak will definitely astonish gadget freaks. Streak will work on the Android Donut operating system. It is packed with the Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset.

A 5 megapixel camera is present on the back of the tablet, while VGA camera is mounted on the front of the Dell tablet. Dell Streak sports Android-based WebKit browser, 256 MB RAM, 512 MB ROM, microSD card slot, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G and GPS.
