Dell Designing Android Phone Smoke
Dell is preparing to awe the world with its Android phone portfolio. After gifting US customers the lightest Android phone Aero, created exclusively for AT&T, Dell is preparing to launch Smoke. Dell seems to have been inspired by Palm Pixi while designing this Android powered smartphone.

Dell will incorporate the Android 2.2 or Android Froyo operating system in this upcoming smartphone, which promises to lend convenience and flexibility to Smoke.The 800MHz speed of the Qualcomm chipset integrated in the Dell Smoke handset will provide enough speed to run applications and access data with minimal glitches.
The 2.8 inches QVGA touch screen with over 262 thousand colors support will display crisp and sharp images. Dell handset features touch sensitive display and it’s screen also has an accelerometer and a proximity sensor.
This candy bar phone comes packed with a full QWERTY keyboard. The Stage user interface created by Dell for Smoke will allow users to customize the home screen. The home screen will sport a shortcut bar, notification bar and an application drawer enabling easy access to apps and services. The on-demand data management technology of Smoke will allow users to store, share, sync and retrieve data on the move.
Dell Smoke boasts a 5 megapixel camera with digital zoom and auto focus. The built-in multimedia player playbacks most of the popular audio and video formats. Dell Smoke supports multiple messaging options including SMS, MMS, Native IM and email. It even supports Microsoft Exchange. While surfing the internet, web pages will be displayed in full HTML format. The browser loaded in the Smoke handset supports Flash 10 for enhanced browsing experience.
Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm audio jack and micro USB are important connectivity features of the Dell Smoke handset. Along with 512 MB internal storage space, this upcoming Dell smartphone will feature microSD memory card slot for memory expansion up to 32GB. This 3G enabled phone, supporting up to 14.4 Mbps data downlink speed, will run on the GSM quad band and WCDMA tri band networks. The battery of the phone could provide up to six hours of talk time and up to 576 hours of standby time.
