Exilim EX-Z800 has a 27-mm lens with wide-angle 4x optical zoom that captures images with 14.1MP effective resolution. Plus, the CCD-shift mechanism for image stabilization reduces chances of blurred images.

Exilim EX-Z800 has a compact body that can easily fit into your palm. The stylish design makes it ideal for every personality. Besides, there is the flat-lens barrel and the lens ring complementing the elegance & compactness of the camera. It’s available in a wide range of colors – Pink, Orange, Silver, Black and Blue.

Exilim EX-Z800 is an ideal start for the entry-level photographers owing to its dedicated buttons for shooting, viewing and deleting images. These buttons make it easy for you to access the camera’s basic operations.

The Dynamic Photo functionality is noteworthy too with option to create moving images. This feat enables independent movement of multiple characters against a moving image backdrop. This effect lasts up to 20 secs. The Art Effect mode renders an art-like quality to the images.

The super resolution attribute lets you get rid of flat areas in the images by adjusting the image contours and subject’s relief. SR Zoom (single-frame) extends the optical zoom’s telephoto range by 1.5 times so ensuring that there is no degradation in the image quality. The 6x zoom together with SR Zoom prevents any sort of drop in the image quality even when it is captured in high resolution.

The Premium Auto function has a sense for different types of scenes wherein the image is captured–night scene, blue sky, sunset, backlighting, etc. Due to this function; the camera detects faces in frame, analyzes the subject’s movement & checks for the use of a tripod. Some of the other functions of Premium Auto function have: focus location, tonal range, exposure settings, noise reduction, color balance and correction of photo blurs. Exilim EX-Z800 adopts a pixel-by-pixel image analysis method to correct the background to images.

The Art Shot feature with Engine 5.0 renders an art-like quality to the images. So, your image would look like it has been oil-painted.  No details about the price of the Exilim EX-Z800 have been released yet. The camera is expected to hit the market by September.
