Scanners are an important part of any office setup, where work like documentation, audit, printing, advertising, designing etc are done.

Scanners are also important at home to scan documents like passports, driving license and et cetera for keeping them as a backup copy for the future.

It’s for this reason the market is full of scanners, each for different segment of users. Following this standpoint Canon has announced the launch of two new scanners, dubbed as LiDE Color Image Scanner that has two variants, the LiDE 210 and the LiDE 110.

The LiDE 210 boasts of a maximum color resolution of 4800×4800 dpi (optical) which is optimized for any kind of office work such as catalogue scanning, business card scanning or OCR scanning. On the other hand the LiDE 110 offers a color resolution of 2400×4800 dpi (optical) which will pretty much meet most scanning demands, either at home or at an office setup.

Canon’s market reputation and presence of after sales service together with the wonderful quality of scanning results will definitely influence potential customers on the lookout for a scanning solution.

As a matter of fact, such high resolution will, in most cases, produce very high quality scans and make these scanners perfect for places where multimedia and graphics work are a priority such as a photo studio or any other design related studios.

Canon has also added two very useful technologies namely the Auto Document Fix & the Auto Scan Mode. The Auto Document Fix fixes documents where the print is washed off or thin to some extent. The text in such docs is by default scanned for optimal readability.

This is done by making the words & letters more dark and sharp as likened to the original document. The other Auto Scan Mode technology works as a greatly useable attribute. It will determine the type of original document on the scanner and make necessary settings by itself that saves plenty of time when various sizes of documents are scanned regularly.

The device is also decked with the features of Advanced Z-lid Expansion Top that allows for a 20mm raise when thick books such as a year book or a personal scrap book is being scanned. Besides, the scanner also comes with EZ-buttons, which allow for easy copying, creation of e-mail attachments and PDF printing.

These scanners are Energy Star compliant and are powered by USB connectors.
