BlackBerry Bold 9650 Coming This Summer
Cell phone buffs were expecting to see the successor to the popular BlackBerry world phone, BlackBerry Tour, this year. From leaked documents, it has been confirmed that we will indeed see this much-awaited smartphone this summer.
The upcoming BlackBerry product will be called BlackBerry Bold 9650 Essex. This upgraded version of Tour while retaining several prominent features of its predecessor, will boast some new functionality such as an optical trackpad, latest BlackBerry operating system and Wi-Fi support.

Flaunting the same bar form as its predecessor, BlackBerry Bold 9650 Essex is a 3G enabled smartphone, which will run on the GSM quad band network of Verizon Wireless. It will sport a 2.4 inches TFT LCD display with 480 x 360 pixel resolution, over 65 thousand colors support and capability to adjust the font size. A full QWERTY physical keyboard will be present on the BlackBerry Bold 9650 Essex handset. RIM has packed the upcoming smartphone with the latest BlackBerry 5 operating system.
BlackBerry Bold 9650 Essex will carry a 3.2 megapixel camera with flash and video recorder. Multimedia player that is capable of supporting prominent audio and video file formats has been integrated in the new BlackBerry handset. BlackBerry Bold 9650 Essex is also equipped with Bluetooth and 3.5mm headset jack. Fitted with USB port, this BlackBerry smartphone supports fast USB connection, which will ease your PC syncing task.
The advanced speech recognition feature incorporated in the device will facilitate communication. BlackBerry Bold 9650 Essex users could download apps, games and other downloadable contents from the BlackBerry App World. Besides making calls, exchanging text messages, multimedia messages and instant messages with the BlackBerry Bold 9650 handset, you can even create up to 11 email accounts. Equipped with BIS Email support, this BlackBerry device supports multiple email accounts including a BlackBerry email account.
The HTML web browser loaded in the smartphone will enhance your web browsing experience. Wi-Fi, which was missing in its predecessor, has been incorporated in this smart device. MicroSD memory card slot will support external memory expansion for greater storage space. Built-in GPS support will augment the navigation capability of this world phone capable of global roaming.
Availability
BlackBerry Bold 9650 will be shipped with a Verizon contract from May 27.
