LG has created a pair of Windows Phone 7 handsets, named LG Quantum and LG Optimus 7. LG Quantum will head to the AT&T retail stores during the holiday season, whereas LG Optimus 7 has been created for the European and the Asian markets.

Both the Windows smartphones boast similar technical features.

The LG smartphone running on the latest operating system of Microsoft and powered by the 1 GHz Snapdragon processor has been primarily created for business professionals. It features a 3.8 inches high-resolution (480 x 800 pixels) touch sensitive capacitive screen.

The AT&T device sports a slide out QWERTY keyboard, which opens in the landscape mode. A 5-megapixel camera with digital zoom, auto focus and video recorder has been added to the LG Quantum handset.

LG Quantum is packed with several entertainment tools. The integrated MP3 player and Slacker Radio will entertain users on the move. AT&T subscribers could access a wide array of AT&T entertainment services and applications with the LG Quantum phone.

Through AT&T Mobile Music, AT&T Mobile TV and the preloaded U-verse app, Quantum users could download popular songs and music tracks and watch television shows on the Windows smartphone.

The Play To application, that LG has preloaded in the smartphone, will enable users to stream music, videos and pictures wirelessly from the smartphone handset to DLNA-enabled devices such as televisions, computers running on the Windows 7 operating system, stereos and other electronic devices.

Moreover, this Windows Phone 7 handset supports Xbox Live and Zune. Games and apps present in the Windows Market Place for Mobile could be downloaded on the LG handset. Office Mobile suite has been preloaded in the AT&T device that primarily targets corporate customers.

LG Quantum offers 16GB of on board storage space. It supports robust data transfer speed through HSPA 7.2 network of AT&T. This smartphone could be used in Wi-Fi hotspots. The LG smartphone sports Bluetooth, 3.5mm audio headset, microUSB port and GPS. Internet surfing is supported by the preloaded Internet Explorer 8 browser.
