Asus has announced the availability of a brand-new notebook, called as EeePC 1201K. Built-in with a Geode NX1750 CPU, the all-new offering runs on an AMD processor, and comes in a case design that is quite similar to the Eee PC 1201N, 1201T and UL20A.

The leaked info at Asus’s official website about EeePC 1201K’s launch doesn’t divulge anything about the price and release date of this mini laptop, but its launch comes as good news for AMD since they are now accountable for another soon to hit ultra-portable netbook.

Asus EeePC 1201K is a model that’s based on Windows XP Home, and has a SiS741GX chipset. The device also comes packed with up to 1GB of DDR1 SO-DIMM memory, and is built-in with stereo speakers that deliver surround sound quality due to its HD audio codec. EeepC 1201K also comes with two side audio ports, while the optimum quality microphone is an added bonus.

Similar to every other netbook, Asus EeePC also has a Bluetooth 2.1 and an EDR that well serves the connectivity requirements of the users. However, the users can choose the 802.11/b/g/n technology and for that matter a corresponding module is made available upon request.

So, Asus EeePC 1201K will provide easy access to your e-mails and social networking profiles anytime. This feature very well hints at the storage capacity. The device can attach three hard drives of 160, 250 and 320GB capacities in to it.

In addition, Asus EeePC 1201K comes packed with an MMC/SD/SDHC card reader and two USB ports. It also has Ethernet LAN port and a VGA connector, which allows users to switch on to a larger screen whenever they want to. EeePC 1201K, weighing just 1.46 kg, also comes in-built with 12.1 inches LED-backlit WXGA display, which offers a resolution of around 1366 x 768 pixels.
