Alienware OptX W2210

Last November Dell has launched its 21.5 inch widescreen 1080 OptX AW2210. It is an extended version of dell’s gamer friendly Alienware brand. The product image quality is excellent with comprehensive menus and design that enjoys the niche as the competition is bare minimum.

This is indeed a new idea but for sure cost of $300 does dampen the spirit despite enjoying the kind of monopoly in the market. Well another reason for not feeling great about the cost is that Dell’s own 21.5 inch LCD monitor comes at comparatively lesser cost. The LCD model SX2210 comes with most upgraded features of touch sensitive menu controls, inbuilt face recognition software, webcam technology and excellent panel. This just cost the customers barely $ 220 only.

In the reviews Well the 80$ extra which Dell is charging is for the aesthetic looks of the new monitor, as the new OptX 2210 comes with Slim profile having big platform giving , bold, black, and sexy looks tag to this new launch LCD technology.

The LCD seems to have more weight then it actually has, that turns this mighty looking technology marvel a new talk of the town for showoff. The well thought design of monitor has several Plus and minus of its various features, like the various ports are not visible which is good when you are just looking at it, but its quite uncomfortable when we have to plug in things in 4 USB ports, 2 HDMI ports or a DVi-D port along with audio jacks, as all are arranged vertically at the back of monitor and hence difficult to access.

But the new system has its benefits too, as the new monitor comes with better options of tilting, spinning and rotating the screen and adjustment of height of the screen too is more convenient then other existing options of LCD monitors.

The aesthetic appeal of Dell get more weight because of its touch sensitive buttons. The buttons and system technology is so delicate that the main menu button even detect the proximity of your hand and light up even before you touch it. The feature work well and look pretty cool too.
