Acer Unveils Liquid Mini

Acer has recently unveiled a smaller version of Acer Liquid, dubbed Acer Liquid Mini. The new sibling of Acer Liquid has retained the form and design of its predecessor, but it has a smaller display.

Acer Liquid Mini features

The upcoming Acer smartphone flaunts a lovely curved body with chrome edges and soft touch finish. It will run on the Android Froyo platform. Its processing functions will be handled by a 600MHz Qualcomm chip. The 3.2-inch, medium-resolution (360 x 640 pixel) capacitive touch screen display of Acer Liquid Mini is equipped with accelerometer, light sensor and proximity sensor.

The Android-based smartphone has a 5-megapixel camera with auto focus and geo tagging features. It can capture 480-pixel videos at a speed of 30 frames per second. The built-in MP3 player will play your favorite songs, and you can listen to your favorite FM radio program on the stereo FM radio with RDS, integrated in the smartphone handset.

Acer Liquid Mini supports wireless DLNA connection. The multimedia content stored in the handset could be streamed to DLNA compatible TVs.

The new Acer smartphone could transfer data at a maximum speed of 7.2Megabits per second over 3G networks. You can use this phone for browsing the internet in wireless Wi-Fi zones. Acer Liquid Mini also flaunts Bluetooth 2.1, microUSB 2.0 port and 3.5mm audio jack. Its built-in GPS will support location-based services.

The candy bar phone is loaded with 512MB RAM and only 512MB of on board storage space. A 2GB memory card will be pre-installed in the device. The 1300mAh Li-Ion battery of the phone could support up to 8 hours of talk time and up to 400 hours of standby time on 2G networks.

To aid social networking, Acer has pre-loaded Facebook, Twitter and Picasa apps on the handset. The SocialJogger app, pre-loaded in Acer Liquid Mini, will present updates from multiple social networking sites in a single view. Documents to Go and RoadSync are other key apps pre-installed on the Acer smartphone handset.

Acer Liquid Mini will come in five vibrant colors including light pink, royal blue, lime green, jet silver and royal black. The stunning touch screen smartphone will arrive in the retail stores in April.
