Acer, a Taiwanese company, on May 27th officially announced its latest high-end multimedia smartphone, the Stream. Designed primarily for entertainment, Acer Stream enables users to browse the web, play music and watch movies efficiently.
Main Features:

Display:
It offers a 3.7” WVGA display. The quality of the display is enhanced by touchscreen and AMOLED technology. More clarity is assured with a wider spectrum of 16.7 million colors in this type of display. The display has a contrast ratio of 2000:1, making it viewable in any light atmosphere. Moreover, it consumes less energy and has a higher battery life.

Power and performance:
Acer Stream runs on Android 2.1 operating system. It is powered by the Qualcomm snapdragon one Ghz processor which makes it incredibly faster than other Android phones.

User Interface:
Made from a highly resistant material, the Acer Stream has a much superior user interface design than its predecessors. Features that make it attractive are its simplicity and quick access. Touch tapping the applications once starts them. A conveniently placed status bar provides essential information such as frequently used settings.
It comprises of great 3D graphics and animations.

A History panel located at the top make navigating or switching between applications a lot more easier. The phones is easily customizable with provisions for changing the wallpaper and sound. It also sports other delightful features such as a redesigned contacts list.

Acer Stream consists of a five MegaPixel camera that can record HD (High Definition) videos with a resolution up to 720 pixels. These videos can also be geo-tagged because of an integrated GPS system. It also supports a HDMI port for connecting to home TV screens. Acer Stream supports Dolby Mobile quality sound for its radio music channels. Some of its multimedia applications are integrated with social networking sites like Facebook.

Connectivity:
Support for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi provide for faster connectivity speeds. Support for HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access) technology provides for a high quality browsing experience.
