The new Acer Android smartphone was introduced at the International Consumer and Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

Acer beTouch E210 is the tenth member of Acer’s popular beTouch smartphone family. The technical specifications of Acer beTouch E210 closely resemble that of beTouch E310.

Its 2.6-inch touch screen display is smaller than the displays of standard Android smartphones. The display supports 240×320 pixel images and 65K colors. It is equipped with accelerometer, G-sensor and digital compass.

This budget Android phone will run on the Android Froyo operating system. Acer beTouch E210 is not a powerful Android device. The processing power of the built-in 416MHz ST Ericsson chip could not match the processor speed of high-end Android devices. Nonetheless, the 256MB RAM of Acer beTouch E210 would ease multi tasking.

The full QWERTY keyboard present on the candy bar body of Acer beTouch E210 will ease message typing. The keyboard features dedicated camera and messaging buttons. The optical trackpad would help users to navigate through menus.

The new beTouch handset offers limited on board storage space. The 512MB memory of the device might not store a large number of files and documents. For additional storage space, Acer has included microSD memory card slot in the device.

The modest 3.2-megapixel camera of Acer beTouch E210 could be used for capturing good quality photos and videos. The integrated music player could play your MP3 audio files. Acer beTouch E210 even features built-in FM radio.

The 3G connectivity of the smartphone will support speedy data transfer. This upcoming Android smartphone will run on HSDPA and HSUPA networks. It features Bluetooth, 3.5mm headset jack and microUSB port. The built-in GPS receiver of the smartphone will help users to find their destinations. It will also support location-based services of the carrier.

The 115mm long, 62.5mm wide and 11.5mm thick candy bar body of the smartphone weighs 109grams. The smartphone will come in black and silver colors. This budget Android phone will probably arrive in the retail stores in March.
