After serving the pico projector industry with its unique L1 model, AAXA Technologies has now announced the availability of its L1v2 pico projector. The AAXA L1v2 sports an LCoS imager with 800 x 600 pixels resolution, brightness of 20 lumens and tri-color laser light source.

L1 v2 pico projector is an upgrade over the L1 projector in terms of thermal efficiency & improved performance – thanks to the light PCOS laser engine. Plus, the pico projector is also adorned with the feature of despeckling technology, proprietary to AAXA.

The LCoS imager gets rid of pixilation problems found in the conventional projectors and renders an 800 x 600p resolution output with 20 lumens brightness and saturated colors.

L1 v2 pico projector projects a 50-inch large image and accounts for focus-free operation. The battery of the projector works for 1.5 hours at a stretch.

Additionally, the L1 v2 pico projector sports an audio/video decoding media player that can decode videos in avi, asf, wmv and mpg formats and audio files in wav, aac and Mp3 formats. The projector is also capable of decoding images and docs. Image formats supported by the pico projector are: gif, jpg, bmp and png while document formats supported are: pdf, xls, doc and ppt. L1 v2 pico projector features USB ports for reading files of a USB thumb drive directly.

L1 v2 pico projector is minimally larger than L1 projector, but that does not stop it from being as the smallest pico projector with 20 lumen brightness in the world. The projector is sized like a mobile phone. It measures 4.2 x 2.1 x 1.2 inches and bears a weight of 170 grams.

L1 v2 pico projector comes with a bunch of additional accessories that make the device connectable to Sony PSP, iPhone/iPod and Microsoft Zune. The pico projector also offers compatibility with an array of handsets manufactured by HTC, Nokia, Samsung and LG. So, L1 v2 pico projector offers better view of videos, movies and images while on the go.

AAXA Technologies will launch the L1 v2 pico projector initially for a pre-order session from December 1, 2010, during this period; the projector costs $399. After the expiration of pre-order term, the projector will be priced at $449.
